It's that time of year again and today kicks off the start of 2010's CMJ Music Marathon and Film Festival. And for the first time in the CMJ Music Marathon's 30-year history and Oceanographer's nine-year history we'll be playing. The exciting thing is you don't even have to be in New York City to watch it— we'll be broadcasting live from the stage!
We're performing at 9:30PM on Friday, October 22nd at the Bowery Poetry Club for the Berklee College of Music / Heavy Rotation Records CMJ 2010 Music Marathon Showcase. We'll be performing alongside The Prigs, The Wandas, Julia Easterlin, The Honors and Liptease. If you have a CMJ pass this show is free. Otherwise it's $10.
We'll be playing for thirty minutes and we start at 9:30, probably on the dot, but don't hate me if we go on a little later than that. If you can't make it to the club you can watch it real time at http://www.bowerypoetrylive.com/. 9:30PM. Sharp. This Friday.
After that we'll be doing a (sort of) residency at Bruar Falls starting next Tuesday, October 26th. I say "sort of" because we're skipping November 2nd, then going back for Tuesday November 9th and Tuesday November 16th. These will probably be our last shows in 2010 (but don't quote me on that).
So we'll see you Friday, or you'll see us online!
